At the invitation of Deputy Minister of Communications, Posts and Telegraphs of Myanmar H.E. Brig-Gen. Thein Tun, Vice Minister of Information Industry of China H.E. Mr. Jiang Yaoping led a delegation to pay an working visit to Myanmar on January 29 to 31, 2008. The Vice Minister called on Minister of Communications, Posts and Telegraphs of Myanmar H.E. Brig-Gen. Thein Zaw, Deputy Minister H.E. Brig-Gen. Thein Tun, and responsible officials of Myanma Posts and Telegraphs. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on connection of cable network, professional training, internet security cooperaion and investing in Myanmar Cyber City.
The delegation also paid an on-site inspection of the GMS Information Superhighway Myanmar Project Phase one as well as rep offices of Chinese telecommunication enterprises in Myanmar.
